Pokémon-Fan? Dann gibt es mit Pokémon Uranium ein neues Spiel von Fans für Fans, deren Download-Links eigentlich schon wieder vom Netz genommen wurden. Schon beim Start wunderte mich: Wenn da Nintendo nicht mal etwas gegen hat. Dabei ist das kostenlose Spiel zum Herunterladen sehr gelungen. Programmiert wurde es von ~JV~ aus Brasilien und Involuntary Twitch aus den USA. Ganze neun Jahre saßen die beiden an dem Freeware-Spiel!
Zum Einsatz kam dabei der RPG Maker, mit dem man eigene Rollenspiele entwickeln kann. Doch um ein solches Spiel zu schaffen, benötigt es schon seine Zeit – hier sind es neun Jahre. 150 neue Pokémon gilt es in dem kostenlosen Fan-Game zu fangen.
Es ist nicht verwunderlich, dass Nintendo auf das Spiel aufmerksam wird. Immerhin gab es bereits 1,5 Millionen Downloads. Hier das offizielle Statement der Entwickler von Pokemon Uranium:
After receiving more than 1,500,000 downloads of our game, we have been notified of multiple takedown notices from lawyers representing Nintendo of America.
While we have not personally been contacted, it’s clear what their wishes are,
and we respect those wishes deeply.
Therefore, we will no longer provide official download links for the game through our website.
We have no connection to fans who reupload the game files to their own hosts, and we cannot verify that those download links are all legitimate. We advise you to be extremely cautious about downloading the game from unofficial sources.We are blown away by the response this game has received, and we thank you all so much for your outstanding support.

Bedeutet im Klartext: Einen offiziellen Download-Link gibt es nicht mehr. Allerdings findet ihr im Forum von Pokemon Uranium noch zahlreiche weitere Alternativen. Unter anderem direkt vom Archiv.org. Die Download-Links findet ihr hier.
Da die Macher weiter machen wollen, gibt es alles Neue und das Forum auf der offiziellen Website zum Spiel: www.pokemonuranium.com. Normalerweise war zum Beispiel noch eine Mac-Version geplant.
